A lot of opportunities have come my way the last few months, big and small. One of those opportunities involves a study-away class that I'll be leaving for quite shortly. This means I'll probably be on hiatus from the blog for the next couple of weeks. But, Lord willing, I will return and have many stories to tell!

Thanks to everyone who's been following my posts here lately - you all rock and I appreciate you with much much appreciation!

I want to leave you with a few suggestions/challenges for the next couple of weeks:

1) Take a friend out for coffee and good conversations, maybe someone you haven't seen in a while.
2) Take a nature walk.
3) Look into blackout poetry.
4) Buy some used CD's - preferably of music you've never gotten into. See if you like it!
5) Write a letter or encouraging note to someone.
6) Be intentional about making memories.
7) Press some flowers in a big thick book.
8) Take a drive on a road you're not as familiar with and crank up the radio, windows down.
9) Make a list of summer goals, both serious and silly.
10) Cloud watch, or stargaze.

Let me know in the comments if you try any of these. I'd love to hear about it when I get back!

  1. I hope you have fun at your study-away class!
These are wonderful suggestions! I'll see which ones I do in the next couple of weeks!

    1. Thank you, it was amazing! But I'm glad to be back. And I see you made a summer goals list - looks like some pretty stellar goals to have!!

  2. Sounds like exciting stuff! I can't wait to hear about your adventures. Funny thing - I've actually done a lot of your suggestions this past week without intending to. All of them really feed the soul.

    1. I just posted about it, and might get around to a more detailed post in the future. :) Ah, that's neat!! Might I ask which ones?

    2. #1, #2, #5, #6, #8, #10, but it was definitely easier to do those things because I was traveling. The question would be whether I'd get out of my rut while back at home.

    3. Nice!!! And I think that making those things happen once back in a regular routine just means it's going to take intentionality. That's where the challenge of it comes in :)

  3. Did I mention that your blog is like a little jem that only a few have found? I love it so much. ALSO this list is perfect! I am going to be writing letters and having fun making memories this summer! Await a summer bucket list to come soon!

    1. Aw, thank you, Vanessa! That means so much to me, thanks for sharing :). I hope you are able to make many lovely memories this summer, and I can't wait to read your summer bucket list!
